Yesterday Tesla passed Ford and General Motors, the two centuried giants in automobile market, in terms of market capitalization to become the most valuable US carmaker. Why so? The cars per se might not as essential as you think. It is also about the power of branding and planning. “We’re not an automobile company.” Said Elon Musk. He has managed to tell a compelling story of dreams and hope to “make the world better.”

We’ve seen that Amazon, which is not a bookstore, has outcompeted those who were. Now we’re witnessing that Tesla, which is not an automobile company, on its way of changing this industry and even world.
